On an information received from a vigilant resident in the area, C4 high explosives and several gelegnite sticks were recovered by Police at Veedagama, Bandaragama in Kalutara district today around 6.45am. At the time of recovering, gelegnite sticks and the explosives were packed in a parcel and kept under a huge tree in front of Sri Sudarshanaramaya Temple, popularly known as “Veedagama Veda Pansala” on Bandaragama- Atulugama road.
Soon after the recovery of said explosives, Police carried out a search operation in the area jointly with SL Army.
