Sri Lanka to donate US$ 25,000 to Myanmar cyclone victims

Sri Lanka will donate US$ 25,000 to Myanmar as assistance to the victims of the deadly cyclone that killed over 22,500 people, Sri Lankan government said.

The SL government said that it would send a team of medical doctors and nurses to the affected country shortly.

The death toll from a powerful cyclone that struck Myanmar on last Friday rose up to 22,500 until Tuesday, another 41,000 people still missing and over 150,000 people were displaced according to Myanmar State Radio.
