Ms.Maheshwari Velayuthan – a political advisor to the Minister of Social Service and EPDP leader Douglas Devananda was gunned down by LTTE pistol gang today around 7.20pm. Ms.Velayuthan was an attorney – at – law by profession and was 53 years at the time of her assassination.
She was shot at her residence in Karaweddy, Jaffna and was admitted to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries, said EPDP sources.
