DHAMMIKA PERERA ON HAYLEY’S BOARD

Mr.Nimal Perera - the Investment Advisor of BOI Chairman Mr.Dhammmika Perera has said that Mr.Dhammika Perera has been appointed to the board of Hayleys Limited with immediate effect. According to the informed sources at Hayleys, this decision was taken by the Hayleys Board of Directors at a special board meeting held yesterday in the evening.

It is also reliably learnt that Mr.Perera who has now nearly 16% stake in Hayleys Limited will attend for his maiden Hayleys Board Meeting scheduled to be held on 16th July 2008 at Hayleys Head Office located at 400, Deans Road, Colombo 10.

Further media reports said recently Mr.Perera had two discussions with Mr.N.G.Wickramarathna - the present Chairman of Hayleys Limited and with Mrs.Vina Jayasundera- a company shareholder & the widow of former Hayleys  Chairman Damithlal Senakukumar Jayasundera. Details of the above two discussions were not yet released to the media. However Mr. Nimal Perera has reportedly said those two discussions were held under a “friendly atmosphere”.

We desperately need young blood and innovative CIO’s for long run. Dhammika known all middle and first line management work hard for Hayleys and looked for shine the company. But presently we failed to create any …………. . First dhammika has to consider HR , Very Poor Stage in Hayleys.

Yong Blood is good, but with some sort of control and endurance.

Yes, Company HR activities should be looked in as a first priority. Hope, HR division will be liberated from the existing head soon for the betterment of the company and its employees.

But, have a doubt whether DP can access to all these areas only as a non-executive Director.

Kindly refer Mano’s comments made on “BOI Chairman became the major shareholder of Hayleys Limited within two weeks” and then you all can get an idea of what is now happening at Hayleys.

Mr. Dammika Perera please show your real colours . Clean your old allegations of casino and others. This is a blue chip company. We expect some thing extra from you. Be active otherwise puff. puff. puff . Think of new ways like Mr. RY and Mr. NGW but dont delay salaries of monor employees.
