President Mahinda Rajapksa declared open the ‘Rajatha Dekma’ photographic exhibition held at the National Art Gallery organised by Sudath Silva on 20th November. Sudath Silva, the official presidential photographer celebrates his 25 years of excellent service as an official photographer for four successive Presidents of Sri Lanka.
The exhibition has a selection of very rare photographs no one has ever seen before and dating from the beginning of his career as a photographer with former President Ranasingha Premadasa to more recent images from President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
The photographs apart from presenting the role played by former Presidents including President D.B.Wijetunga and President Chandrika Kumaratunga and the current President in social events, their lifestyle and dress sense, charity, landmark occasions and historical and beautiful places they visited. And also those photos give the public a peep into the lifestyle of the bygone era of four heads of the nation.
