Activists to fight UN bid

ACTIVISTS uniting around the 40th anniversary of the Aboriginal tent embassy have vowed to wage an international campaign against Australia’s bid for a seat on the United Nations Security Council if the Gillard government does not meet its demands for indigenous sovereignty.

The campaign is being spearheaded by Michael Anderson, 60, the only one of the four men who started the tent embassy who remains alive today.
